The hamsa hand (Arabic) or hamesh hand (Hebrew) is an old and still popular apotropaic amulet for magical protection from the envious or evil eye. The words hamsa and hamesh mean “five” and refer to the digits on the hand.
For our logo, we wanted that something that was instantly recognizable from the Middle East. We chose jewel tones because of the spices and cloths that are found in the outdoor markets and evoke feelings joy and comfort.
Hamsa Moroccan Cuisine is an elegant and refined mix of Mediterranean and Arabic food that delights the senses.
For the design of our collateral pieces we wanted to convey that through traditional Moroccan colors and decorations. Eclectic doesn’t have to be a scary word, it can mean refined, polished, and colorful.
Using vector illustrations, we made Hamsa Moroccan Cuisine several pieces we can use throughout the restaurant to keep customers informed and update on specials and changes to the business.
