Bust magazine boasts that they are for women with something to get off their chests. They are free thinking, feminist oriented, and in your face (in a good way).
They had a great design, but I thought it could be good and more simplistic. I set out to give them a modern look that reflected the modern woman.
One of the most prominent stories from the current issue was about one of the writers that was going to donate her body to the Body Farm upon her death. Rather than have a traditional burial.
For that spread I wanted the first two pages you saw to be bold, beautiful and haunting. I kept much of the article itself very minimal and added a few pictures from the actual Body Farm to break up all the white space and show the reader what goes on there.
